Mikkeller's record in producing great-tasting non-alcoholic beers knows no bounds. What they've produced in conjunction with De Proeuf brewery has really pushed the limits and show others what can be done. Some have caught up in the realm of Pale Ales and IPAs but if there is one thing nobody can do as well, it is the sour end of the beer range. Producing one good non-alcoholic sour would be good but Mikkeller's variety in this category is outstanding. It started with Henry & His Science, a beer but with a slight tartness to it, and was extended into the superb Limbo Series, especially the Limbo Riesling, a Flemish Primitive like a lambic.
They've now produced this Gose and it is stunning. It is not as sour as the Limbo Riesling, the slight tartness making it a superb summer drink, and not as sweet as Henry & His Science. You may want to buy a few, though, as it disappears in no time!
