National Delivery

We normally pick our orders twice a week: on Mondays and Thursdays and orders are .  We offer a number of options for delivery:

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct rate themselves.  Sobersauce reserves the right to charge customers for any difference if the wrong rate is selected for deliveries to those locations.

Our trusted 3rd party courier will provide you with tracking details once they have your order. You can use the tracking number on their website.  We use a number of couriers. Their tracking pages are:



At peak times, or when the national supply chain is under pressure, it may not always be possible to deliver your order within our standard promise.  It may also not be possibvle to deliver to some locations but we will let you know as soon after order as possible if this is the case.

If you are not in when delivery is due, the delivery driver may attempt to leave it in a safe place or with a neighbour.

If this is not possible, a card will be left with details of how to rearrange your delivery. Should subsequent delivery attempts fail the order will be returned to us. This will result in you forfeiting the delivery charge (if applied).

If it is deemed that you made no attempt to contact us or the courier regarding delivery, a further standard delivery charge will be required to re-send the order.


Free Local Delivery (Sheffield)

We are offering a trial of free delivery for some Sheffield postcodes (S3, S7, S10, S11, S17) for orders of £25 or more.  This should appear as an option at checkout if you are based in one of those postcodes.  We normally deliver on a Friday but this isn't guaranteed.  We will also need to leave your box on or near your doorstep if you are not in as we cannot arrange a re-delivery.  If you want your order urgently, or choose standard delivery or email us ahead of time to check.


Order Despatch

Orders are normally picked on the first Mondays or Thursday after the order has been placed, although larger orders may take a little longer.  We are a small family-run company and so sickness and family holidays do impact upon this.  We have a few times during the year when we cannot meet our normal timelines.  During 2022 we have the follwing closure dates planned.  All orders placed during this time will be be processed as soon as we return.

April 5-17

May 26-31

June 17-23

August 5-12


We will endeavour to make this clear on our homepage as these dates approach.  Once the order is ready for dispatch we’ll email you details of your delivery.

We will adjust the timing of any subscription orders to the nearest date, before or after these periods.  If you have a particular preference please email us to let us know.


Missing parcels

Occasionally orders go missing or larger orders arrive separately.  If you order hasn’t arrived within 3 working days of receiving notification that we’ve despatched it, please get in touch  Similarly, if you’ve had a notification from the courier that you order has been sent back to us, please let us know ASAP.  The courier should tell us they’ve done this but they do so late, or not at all. We can resolve it much more quickly if you contact us directly.

If you receive only part of your order, then it may have been split across multiple boxes and deliveries.  In 99% of cases it will simply arrive the next day.  Please wait until the end of the following working day before contacting us to let us know.


Delivery locations

We regret that we cannot currently ship outside the UK or to Northern Ireland. 



Whilst we’ve spent a long time ensuring we have robust packaging, very occasionally a bottle or two does break.  If that’s happened, don’t worry, just take a photo and email it to us within 24 hours of the beer arriving and we’ll refund you for it.
